Annotation

The conflicts in the Black Sea basin are subject to extensive research of lawyers and political scientists. Over the last decade, the EU expanded its borders to the east, thus providing the opportunity for NATO to have directly borders with Russia on the Black Sea. That put the Russian state in an extremely disadvantageous position, which dictated the conflict and with Ukraine. Although the edge of the law, Russia with adept political and legal moves annexed the Crimea, but for the international community remained silent possibility protested against this act putting economic sanctions on the Russian economy and oligarchic circles close to the Kremlin.
