The articleexamines the amendments to the Law on public procurement occurring since the publication in the "State Gazette" issue 33 of 27.04.2012, of the Law amending and supplementing the Law on Public Procurement. Those have introduced the requirements of Directive 2009/81/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 July 2009 on the coordination of procedures for awarding of certain construction contracts, supply contracts and service contracts by contracting authorities or by entities in the fields of defense and security and on amending Directives 2004/17/EC and 2004/18/EC.
The author reviewsthe new public procurement rules in the areas of defense and security, dwells on the new objects of public procurement, the procedure of awarding thereof, and the procedure for appealing of public procurement.
