The article presents anin-depth study of the specific procedural mechanisms through which the right of defense at the first, administrative phase of the procedure under the Law on Forfeiture of property derived from criminal activity is realized. An additional task of the article is formulating of specific legislative proposals for establishing and promoting the rights of defense at this stage.
