Annotation
The work examines the structure and powers of the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency as a state body ensuring the quality of higher education in Bulgaria. The historical development of the agency is traced in retrospect and the functions and powers of the agency in relation to the control over the educational process in higher education institutions are examined through a current normative analysis. As a result of the analysis, summariesand conclusions are drawn.
