Annotation

Grotian moments are a relatively new concept related to customary international law. It helps to discover and distinguish international legal customs that are formed in times of strong scientific progress, changes in the international order as a result of wars, etc.. In the present scientific work, two examples of Grotian moments are presented, which are emblematic of international public law . The first is indisputable and characterizes the presence of international customs and the development of science and technology, which lead to the emergence of international space law. The second example, according to some international lawyers, is not a Grotian moment, but the present author will present arguments that will refute such an opinion.
