Annotation

The articleanalyzes the changes in the PPC of 25.11.2011, related to the investigating authorities. The changes in question restored the customs investigation, which was completely abolished with the adoption of the new PPC in 2005. For this reason, the author focuses on the newly introduced procedural figures of Investigative Customs Inspector and a customs authority with the Customs Agency, analyzing their status, as well as the specifics of their powers as investigators. Also examined is the difference between the investigating authorities in the context of the volume of their subject competence.

Thearticle also considers amendments and supplements to other provisions of the PPC, relating to the introduction of customs investigation.
